iSwallow™ is a personal rehabilitation assistant (PRA) for use on the iPhone, IPod Touch, or Ipad. It was designed to be used under the supervision of a qualified swallowing clinician. The device allows the clinician to choose from a menu of swallowing exercise and establish a personalized therapy program for an individual patient. Once the device is programmed by a clinician, it can be carried by the patient to alert them when it is time to perform their prescribed exercise. iSwallow™ will the take them through the exercise regimen and will provide text, audio, and video instructions if needed. Information regarding patient compliance will be recorder on the device for later evaluation by the clinician.

We have decided to provide iSwallow™ to all swallowing clinicians free of charge. Because the application is meant to be used only under the supervision of a qualified swallowing clinician, we have requested that individuals email us to obtain a password in order to unlock the program. If you have downloaded the program and need to obtain a password please email iswallow@ucdvoice.org. Please include your name, hospital or institution affiliation, and degree in the correspondence. Your personal information will not in any way be shared or sold to a third party. We will also make the device available to clinicians and scientists for research purposes free upon request.
